Creating eBook Sample, the Blatz Manision and Placing the Roof on The Ardynn Project


Short. Sweet. Simple Design. Success.  These are my word for everything that gets done today for Ardynn Media Group.  I feel that I have been sharing enough of the inner working of our firm that the roof has been placed on The Ardynn Project.  What this means is it has taken on the look of project that will be completed. 

When a homeowner has been working for weeks or even months on the design and construction of their new home, the day the roof has been placed is a major milestone.  Why?  Because it not only allows anyone passing by to get a good idea of the shape and size of the home, but provides much need cover from the elements.  Once the roof has been added, then work tends to go at a faster pace and the builder is more in control of the project now that Mother Nature is held at arm’s length.  That is how I feel about The Ardynn Project.  We not only have shared the day-to-day workings with our readers, but have started to give them a sense of what the Ardynn Brands stand for. 

This week has been so exciting with the launch of Bruno’s Buzzing Adventure, the new layout and theme for ArdynnPublishing.com has gone live and talks have started with REAL Trends, Attention Era Media, Rachel LaMar and a few “Silent Partners” regarding a new marketing collateral product.  Since we have just started rounding up the key players and mapping out the production dynamics, I hope you can bear with me a few more days before I tell you what is in the works.  Pay attention and you may notice a trend in topics, educational matter and video shares that combined act as the key to the future of Real Estate / New Listing Marketing.

I was speaking to Aaron Biebert with Attention Era Media about using the video listing of The Blazt Mansion as a listing video example in some of Ardynn Media Group’s upcoming marketing pieces.  I love this video because from the very beginning it has a look, feel and edited content that makes it standout from other video listings.  Reminds me of a Woody Allen Film the way it starts.

 

The lesson here for all of you Real Estate Preofessionals is this, DO NOT FORGOE CURTESY…ASK FOR PERMISSION.  With sharing capability seen on everything.  it never hurts to still ask for permission when you are going to use somone else’s hard work in a way that is a bit outside the box.  While I have every right to use the video like I did above, it just isn’t ethical to do so in say, an eBook or Infographic, for example.

While Aaron and I were speaking about my extended use of the video over the next few months, it dawned on me that since it was going to be an example / sample of work and that maybe he should consult with the listing agent for permission to have a remixed video done for my purposes.  In my expert opinion it should have the an overlay of the Attention Era Media logo.  Aaron liked the idea and did not think that the Broker would an issue, but like me and feels extending the curtesy of asking is the correct way to go about it.

REALTORS reading this are probably a bit confused with the asking of permission, but since many REALTORS will have another team members listing or even the occasional listing from another brokerage appearing on their website, Facebook Feed etc., why not strengthen your peer relationships by being curteous.

Well, the kids need lunch since they have a half day of school and will be walking in the door any minute (wanna bet they don’t even ask about food but whether they can play in the new fallen snow?) and I have a call with Dana Hall-Bradley to discuss the Press Release for her book.  I also need to get 2 articles completed and distributed today, Hyper Marketing for REALTORS Comes Without a Price Tag and What REALTORS Can Learn From Justin Bieber, and schedule the industry email that includes the a Sample of Bruno’s Buzzing Adventure.  (FYI to all of you REALTORS or other professionals working on an eBook / Book, create a Sample that accounts for approx. 20%.  This will be expected if not required by Amazon, iBooks and other eDistributors.)
