Social PR Experts….Can #Xbox LIVE Help Me Build My Real Estate Consumer Base?
Yes, today is Valentine’s Day and I have been playing with my gift since last night. After you have been with the same person for 20 years, two things tend to happen. The first is that holidays and anniversary occasions are likely to go by without much fanfare. The second is that, hopefully, during that time, your partner/significant other/spouse has gotten to know you so well that the perfect gift is presented to you.
Being the nerd that I am, albeit an extremely well-dressed nerd, upgrading my iPad to a 64GB iPad2 was ideal. Add in the fact that I actually got to pick it out a day early was even better (and yes, I saw the announcement from Apple when I got home that the iPad3 Event Date Is Set For March 7th! Oh well…) After setting up, networking the entire house and office and incorporating iCloud control of even more information that before, I started to experience NEW TOY ENTHUSIASM like a 5 year old. This got me to thinking about new possibilites that could relate to the Adynn Media Group because of the camera functionality.
If I can do voice and video calls now and intereact with my social circles on the next level, shouldn’t I consider gaming uses in non-traditional thought patterns? We have the Xbox LIVE so that the kids can have video interaction time and play with their grandparents in Oklahoma. So I downloaded the My Xbox LIVE App and it dawned on me that the age of the average user coincides with that of first time homebuyers. Thinking so far outside the box it hurts has been common for us here at Ardynn Media, so why not test the waters with the Xbox LIVE members. Engaging consumers has always been on their turf. If some are more comfortible using Facebook than phone or email, others would probably feel like that about the LIVE community.
So part of The Ardynn Project for the next 3 months is to work on engaging REALTORS and general consumer groups via Xbox LIVE and document where it takes us, the success/fail rate and a detailed accounting of how and why they choose this method of engagement. So on this, the umptenth day of business transparency here at the Ardynn Media Group, Ardynn PR, Ardynn Publishing and Ardynn Productions, we may have found a hyper-targeted mindset to add to our consumer base.
